Antique American Canning Crock c.1800s
Antique American Canning Crock c.1800s
Our Antique American Canning Crock is a charming medium-sized, salt glazed crock, dating to the 1800s. Traditionally used for canning vegetables, the small opening at the mouth shows where they would have been sealed for longterm storage. Hand thrown with the potters rings on the interior, this is a rare primitive find. It has a gorgeous, organic olivey-brown glaze. There is one chip on the body as shown in photos but overall it is in excellent shape.
Note each one of our Found pieces is unique and no two are exactly alike. Colours, textures, and sizes may vary from photographs. Natural wear and age may result in minor cracks, chips, or inconsistencies in the finish.
