This beautiful piece of original artwork depicts a serene scene of a steamboat slowly cruising along a river nestled amongst trees.  Boats of this type ore most commonly asscoiated with North American however the canvas on which its painted is from London.  There is an artists name and date of 1889 on the back.  The natural ageing process has left a beautiful crackle in the paint, adding to its innate antique charm.
