A beautifully simple vintage French stoneware jug, finished in a warm, softly speckled glaze with wonderful tonal variation throughout. The gently rounded body, elongated handle and subtle ribbed detailing around the neck give this piece its wonderfully understated, utilitarian character.

Originally made as an everyday vessel, today we love it filled with loose garden foliage or seasonal branches, styled amongst collected ceramics on open shelving, or simply displayed on its own.
